It’s Not Always Where You Go
A last-minute mountain getaway turned into exactly what we needed. Sometimes it’s not about where you go—it’s about getting away, unplugging from the noise, and being with your favorite person. In this post, I share a weekend full of fire pit laughs, Winnebago mishaps, and the kind of moments that make you grateful for slow mornings and secondhand RVs.

Vacationing vs Adventuring
Krissy and I just got back from Mexico, and this time it wasn’t an adventure — it was a vacation. You know, the kind with naps, cocktails, and zero hiking boots. In this post, I’m sharing how we balance vacationing and adventuring each year — and why both types of trips matter to us (even if Krissy keeps beating me at cards).
Camping with Dogs: Our Windy Weekend at Jackson Lake
Weekend camping with four dogs, three humans, and two paddle boats — what could go wrong?
We kicked off RV season at Jackson Lake State Park, a favorite spot for us (and the dogs), thanks to open space, a real lake, and usually… decent weather. This time? Not so much. Between the wind, rain, and cold, we had to ditch the boats, skip the swimsuits, and get creative with campfire meals (spoiler: no fire). But with good food, great games, and four muddy, happy pups, we still managed to turn a chaotic trip into a cozy memory.

Finally Getting the RV Ready for Our First Camping Trip of the Season
After months of waiting, we’re finally dusting off the RV and heading to one of our favorite spots—Jackson Lake State Park. It’s a short weekend trip, but we’re making the most of it with good friends, a pack of happy dogs, and plenty of campfire laughs. I spent this weekend getting the rig ready, scrubbing, flushing, and filling—all the glamorous RV prep stuff. Come along for our first camping trip of the season and see why this place keeps calling us back.
Why Do a Yard/Garage Sale?
My favorite part? The free pile. Watching people’s faces when you tell them it’s actually free? Priceless. Some asked three times just to be sure. People were genuinely grateful. And while the money is great (we made just over $1,100!), the community part? That’s the gold.
