To Snooze or Not to Snooze?
Do you jump out of bed when your alarm goes off, or do you hit snooze five more times? As someone living with Narcolepsy Type 2, my relationship with sleep has always been complicated—and this is the story behind it.
RV Issues or Just Lessons?
RV life isn't always picture-perfect. Since bringing Lucky home, we've dealt with flying tires, broken slides, overflowing toilets, mysterious tank valves, and more than a few moments of panic. But with every challenge, we've learned something new and grown a little more confident in our dream of hitting the road full-time. Are these RV issues... or just lessons in disguise?
Waymo is Way More Awesome
We finally took our first ride in a self-driving Waymo while visiting Phoenix, Arizona—and after one trip, we were hooked. From the futuristic experience of riding in a car with no driver to the surprisingly low cost and smooth ride, here's what we loved, what surprised us, and whether we'd do it again.
Is it worth the money?
A weekend of luxury hotels, airport views, lazy rivers, and people watching had us asking one big question: is the expensive stay really worth the money? From the Westin at DIA to the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort and Spa, we experienced beautiful spaces, great amenities, and a few surprises along the way. In the end, we realized what matters most to us when we travel might be a lot simpler than we thought… and yes, a free breakfast still goes a long way.
Hidden Immunity Idol
For lifelong Survivor fan Anne, the chance to hunt for Colorado’s hidden immunity idol was impossible to pass up. From racing out of work to climbing Challenge Hill alongside hundreds of fellow fans, the experience was about far more than winning — it was about passion, community, and never giving up on the dream of one day hearing, “The tribe has spoken.”

Washington Fun in the National Parks
Our National Park journey began with a van, a lockdown, and a need to get out. Years later, Washington State gave us three unforgettable parks — Olympic, Mount Rainier, and North Cascades — each wildly different and equally breathtaking.
Where it Started and Where it is Now
From my very first post-college job wandering through Minnesota forests in head-to-toe mosquito netting, to years of teaching environmental education, to slowly upgrading from tents to vans to RVs — my relationship with nature has grown and evolved right alongside my life. What started as a summer of learning the names of plants became a lifelong love of the outdoors, and eventually a shared journey with Krissy as we built our own version of “camping” through each new season of life. Now, as we look toward full-time RV living, I’m reflecting on what really matters to me: the non-negotiables, the comforts, the challenges, and the joy of being outside. This is where it started — and where it is now.

Two People, One Decision

Full Time RVing: Why us? Why me?
We grew up believing life was supposed to follow the same script: work hard, save, and only travel once you retire. But a health scare and a lot of reflection reminded us that what matters most is each other, our health, and truly living while we can. For us, that means full-time RV life — slow travel, nature, and experiences over things.
